Different things bring different people to yoga. Some come for the love of movement, some to be challenged, some for more ease and stillness amongst an already fiery life.

Stillness and rest
For a quieter practice, a busy mind or a body that needs ease.
Gentle Yoga
Mindful awareness into the present moment, into your body and back to your breath, with somatic movement taught in a flow style. Suitable for absolute beginners as well as more experienced practitioners. Pregnancy safe.
Deep Stretch + Calm Yin Yoga
A practice of stillness, sensation and steadiness. Static, floor-based postures held for 2 to 5 minutes to let the connective tissue, fascia and joints loosen. Rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Pregnancy safe from 14 weeks.
RADICAL REST
Relaxation, release and the opportunity to restore: movement, stillness, breath and yoga nidra, a deeply relaxing dream state meditation. Bring a blanket. Cosy socks recommended.
Chair-Assisted Yoga
Yoga with the support of a chair, led by Charlotte, whose kind and nurturing approach came recommended by Gail, our previous Chair Yoga teacher.
Steady flow
All levels, with options offered so the whole class is catered to.
Hatha Flow with Jade R
A steady practice of posture, breath and meditative flow, finishing with grounding postures before savasana: sweetness in stillness. You will leave feeling calm, balanced and restored.
Feel Good Friday Flow with Claire
Traditional yoga with mantra, posture and breath, delivered as a flow. The early class is for anyone who wants to move before the work day starts.
Morning Yoga with Sally
Movement, breath and stillness blend to support your wellbeing and a sense of peace, with plenty of options for everyone.
Yoga with Soph
A fluid, varied and mindful Sunday practice: a grounding meditation, a sequence of postures, breathing exercises, then relaxation with a guided meditation. Suitable for absolute beginners and seasoned yogis alike.
Saturday Slow Flow
Open to all levels. Not pregnancy safe, but contact us if you are pregnant and we can talk about whether it can be adapted for you.
Strength and heat
For those who want a little more fire and a little more play.
Vinyasa
An energetic, rhythmic practice flowing through strong postures as well as postures for building flexibility. We flow with the breath, create heat, strength and resilience, then finish with a guided Savasana.
Strong Flow Yoga
A movement practice that builds heat through the body but welcomes in ease by pairing movement with breath. Ideal if you have been to gentler classes and want more, or are not new to exercise but new to yoga.
Dance and voice
Movement and sound beyond the mat.
Women’s Belly Dancing with Lizzie
A class that embraces the body, embraces movement and builds confidence. Learn the fundamentals of Belly Dance and discover its history, culture and musical styles. Everyone is welcome regardless of age or ability.
Song circle with Jess
The voice is a tool for expression. Come and sing: there will be song, mantra and sound, together with others.

New on the timetable this autumn

Men’s Yoga, Thursdays 6pm
Men have always been welcome at the studio, but more and more of you have asked for a men’s class. It is led by Emma B, who has previously taught for Battle Back for the British Legion charity.
Chair-Assisted Yoga is back
An 8-week block on Wednesdays, 2pm to 3pm, from 21 October to 9 December, with Charlotte. She came recommended by Gail, our previous Chair Yoga teacher, for her kind and nurturing approach, and we have known her since the studio opened.
Bookable online as always: the block has its own ticket on our Bookwhen page, under 21 October.

Our first Song circle, with Jess
Singing for wellbeing, on Sunday 25 October at 6:30pm. There is something so uplifting about singing with others: the shared experience, sensing the feeling of the sound from within. And anyone can do it.
Coming up in the new year: an uplifting New Year Extended Practice with Soph, Saturday 2 January, 9:30am to 11:30am.
Book a classTwo years on Queen Street
We opened our doors in September 2024. Since then: countless classes, first-timers, regular attendees and a lot of community building. Classes to smile in, to dance in, to flow in, and classes to rest in.
Our teachers are kind-hearted, soulful and supportive practitioners: Soph, Jade R, Jade W, Emma B, Claire, Sally, Lizzie, Jess and Charlotte. Alongside the weekly classes we hold workshops, sound baths, yoga brunches and connection circles.
This autumn we were nominated for Yoga Studio of the Year for the West Midlands.
We have no idea who nominated us, but thank you so much to whoever it was.

“I go to Sattvic Studio three times a week and love it. The classes range from gentle yoga to stronger vinyasa, all in a calm and welcoming space. The teachers are friendly and knowledgeable, and there’s a real sense of community that makes the studio feel special.
The summer retreat in the Lake District was a wonderful experience, and I always leave classes feeling calmer and more balanced.”
“Such a lovely studio in Market Drayton, it’s a really relaxing space with a great variety of classes. I was totally new to yoga and have really enjoyed going the gentle yoga classes and also the acupuncture event that was ran last autumn which was brilliant! Looking forward to the winter one this weekend. Very much recommend this studio, teachers are wonderful!”
“I’ve only recently started classes in the past couple of months (wind down yin with Emma) so not experienced, but that doesn’t matter. I look forward to going each week and love the positivity and caring environment. The studio is a friendly welcoming space. So glad I was encouraged to be involved.”
“An amazing studio! So many classes on offer and great for complete beginners like me. I've been going to the gentle yoga classes. In the class you are shown different options depending on your ability and how your body is feeling that day. The instructors are warm and welcoming and I always leave feeling so relaxed. Would recommend to anyone!”
